It started with one very big cat.
Pawmori began with a simple question: why should a cat have to fit into products that were never made with cats like him in mind?
A quiet moment of care — because every journey begins with knowing your cat well.
Before Pawmori, there was home.
There was a gray-and-white Maine Coon with a soft, curious nature and a body that made ordinary cat products feel surprisingly small.
At around 8 kilograms, he was not enormous in the way stories sometimes make Maine Coons sound. He was simply a big, real cat — with long legs, a broad chest, a full coat, and his own way of moving through the world.
He was also family. The kind of family member who follows you from room to room, waits by the door, and makes even an ordinary afternoon feel shared.
We wanted to take him with us.
When we started bringing him outside, we discovered something that many large-cat families already know. There are plenty of products made for small cats. When those no longer fit, the next option is often a dog product.
Dog products can be strong and practical, but strength is not the same as understanding. Cats move differently. They rest differently. They need to feel protected without feeling trapped, and supported without being treated like a small dog.
We did not want to make a cat fit the product. We wanted to begin with the cat.
That small difference became the beginning of Pawmori. It came from paying attention to the space a large cat needs to turn around, the way he chooses a place to settle, and the reassurance he looks for when something feels new.
Designed around real life together.
Pawmori grows from the moments that happen between plans: a cat stepping onto the table while you are working, a hand reaching back to reassure him, and a carrier left open at home so it becomes familiar before it is ever used for travel.
We think carefully about comfort, space, airflow, security, and the practical details that make life easier for both sides of the relationship. Cats are not cargo. They are companions with preferences, boundaries, and trust to be earned.
Every cat has a different idea of adventure.
For one cat, adventure may be a walk through the garden. For another, it may be sitting by an open window, visiting the vet calmly, taking a road trip, or simply resting beside the person they love.
We believe those smaller moments count, too.
Our hope is not to ask cats to become someone else. It is to give them more ways to be part of the life they already share with us — safely, comfortably, and at their own pace.
The destination is not always somewhere far away. Sometimes it is simply being together.
